As the developer of the ScanVentory application, I do not collect, store, or process any personal data or inventory data entered by the user. All data is your sole property.

This is the official Privacy Policy of the ScanVentory application (the "Application"). ScanVentory is an inventory management app with barcode/QR scanning, local data storage, report export, and backup features. This document transparently explains how data is handled.
As the developer of the ScanVentory application, I do not collect, store, or process any personal data or inventory data entered by the user. All data is your sole property.
All data related to your warehouse, products, and stock quantities is stored exclusively in a local database on your device. The developer has no remote access to these files.
The Application offers a feature that allows creating database backups on your personal Google Drive account.
Access scope: The Application uses the limited Google Drive API appdata scope, allowing access only to files created by the Application.
Privacy: The developer has no access to your files on Google Drive, your passwords, or any other data linked to your Google account.
Purpose: Data is sent to Google Drive solely to allow you to restore your database in case of phone replacement or loss.
The Application may request the following permissions:
Camera: Used only to scan product barcodes/QR codes. Camera images are neither transmitted nor stored anywhere.
Device storage: Used to save the database and export reports (e.g. CSV/Excel files).
Internet access: Used only to communicate with Google Drive for backup purposes.
Your data is not shared, sold, or transferred to any third parties by the developer. The only data transfer is the one initiated by you between your phone and your Google cloud account.
Since data is physically stored on your device, data security depends on your phone's security mechanisms (password, screen lock, system encryption). Regular backups are recommended.
I reserve the right to update this policy. Any changes will be published in a new version of the Application.
This policy page is intended to be publicly accessible without requiring login and hosted on the developer's verified, owned domain. The Privacy Policy URL should match the URL configured in the OAuth consent screen.
